Lovelpreet is an Associate at Victorian Lawyers and an experienced litigation lawyer with a broad practice across civil and commercial disputes, insolvency and liquidation matters, Inland Revenue disputes, property and contractual disputes, and family law.

As an Associate, Lovelpreet takes an active role in the management and conduct of litigation matters, working closely with the firm's Directors and senior lawyers on complex disputes while also managing matters and maintaining direct relationships with clients. She is involved from the early stages of a dispute through to negotiation, preparation of proceedings, interlocutory applications, evidence and hearing preparation.

A significant area of Lovelpreet's practice involves IRD and tax-related disputes. She assists individuals, directors and businesses dealing with Inland Revenue in relation to outstanding tax liabilities, repayment arrangements, enforcement action and negotiations aimed at achieving practical and commercially manageable outcomes. She understands that tax debt can place considerable pressure on both businesses and individuals and approaches these matters with a strong focus on early engagement, negotiation and realistic resolution strategies.

Lovelpreet also has substantial involvement in insolvency and liquidation matters, including statutory demands, liquidation proceedings, creditor claims, company disputes and related negotiations. She acts for and assists companies, directors, shareholders and creditors where financial distress has developed into, or may potentially result in, formal insolvency proceedings.

Her wider civil and commercial litigation practice includes contractual disputes, debt recovery, shareholder and business disputes, commercial lease disputes, property disputes and construction-related claims. Lovelpreet is experienced in analysing complex factual circumstances, identifying the legal and commercial issues in dispute and developing a practical strategy directed towards achieving an effective resolution.

She also assists clients with family law matters and related disputes, bringing a measured and client-focused approach to matters which often involve significant personal and financial consequences.

Her practice encompasses civil and commercial litigation, IRD and tax debt negotiations, insolvency and liquidation proceedings, company and shareholder disputes, contractual and debt recovery matters, property and commercial lease disputes, construction claims, and family law. She also has a strong focus on negotiation and settlement, seeking practical and commercially sensible resolutions wherever possible.

Lovelpreet recognises that litigation is not simply about pursuing a case through the Courts. Wherever appropriate, she explores opportunities for negotiation, settlement and alternative dispute resolution, while ensuring that clients are properly positioned to pursue or defend proceedings where litigation becomes necessary.
