Victorian Lawyers provides legal advice and representation in relation to selected criminal law matters, primarily involving traffic offences, drink driving charges, and breach of protection orders. These matters can carry serious legal consequences, including fines, criminal convictions, licence disqualification, and in some circumstances imprisonment. Our firm assists clients in understanding the charges they face and the legal options available to them.
Traffic and driving-related offences are commonly prosecuted under the Land Transport Act 1998 and may arise from incidents involving alcohol or drug impairment, careless or dangerous driving, or breaches of licensing conditions. Even relatively minor traffic offences can have significant consequences, particularly where a driver’s licence is essential for employment or family responsibilities.
Victorian Lawyers focuses on representing clients in matters involving traffic-related offences and drink driving charges. We provide practical advice on the legal process, possible defences, and the preparation of mitigation to present before the court.
Our firm also represents clients charged with breach of protection orders, which are criminal offences arising from alleged breaches of orders made under the Family Violence Act 2018. These matters can have significant legal and personal consequences, and we assist clients in navigating the court process and presenting their case.
Where appropriate, we also assist clients with limited licence applications (work licences) to allow driving for employment or essential personal commitments following licence disqualification.
Victorian Lawyers provides legal services on a private client basis only. Our firm does not provide Legal Aid services for criminal matters and does not act as duty lawyers. All criminal defence work is undertaken on a private retainer basis and charged in accordance with our hourly professional rates.
Victorian Lawyers aims to provide practical and strategic legal advice to help clients navigate criminal proceedings while seeking to minimise the legal consequences of the charges they face.
